Welcome to my website!

Our specialities are lifestyle, sports & event photography.

Stu started out as a dance photographer, and later qualified in classical & lifestyle portraiture, but now spends a lot of his time photographing action sports including cricket, football and occasionally motorsports..

In addition, he has experience in documenting public events (Shakespeare 400), and has covered more formal events including civic receptions & balls.

He has won many awards for his photographic work, and was placed in the Top 10 with the Guild of Photographers in 2011 and 2012.

In February 2020, Stu achieved Craftsman status as a Cricket Photographer, the first such awarded with the Guild, following assessment of his work by a panel of internationally recognised and respected judges.

He enjoys photographing wildlife, landscapes and urban scenes on occasions, time & weather permitting.

If you're looking for a friendly, professional photographer, and great service why not get in touch now...

Risk Management

This information is based on Government guidance “Working Safely during Covid-19” published on 11 May 2020.

Position statement

It is not possible for me to work as a professional photographer from home. The majority of my work is outdoor sports & lifestyle coverage using telephoto or super telephoto lenses, which have a minimum focussing distance.

My viewing & sales activities are currently restricted to online methods only - printed products are delivered by professional lab services direct to the client’s door.

I have confirmed that my professional & public liability insurances continue to cover me for business activities.

Specific areas of risk & management

Personal health & hygiene:

I am responsible for my own health, and will exclude myself from work for a period of 14 days if I experience symptoms of Covid-19.

I have access to hand sanitisers and cleansing wipes for my personal use when working.

Handling equipment:

Cameras and lenses etc... generally require specialist cleaning and maintenance to avoid damage to sensors, electrical contacts and optical surfaces.

It is not appropriate to sanitise cameras etc.., therefore I do not permit or require clients to handle any of my equipment.

Staff welfare:

I do not employ permanent or casual staff.

It is not necessary to wear PPE when working outdoors and maintaining social distance.

Limiting exposure:

When completing a privately commissioned assignment I will restrict client numbers to the maximum currently specified for an outdoor gathering.

Social distancing:

I will maintain 2m social distance from clients at all times

Working with employers:

I will actively work with the relevant people or organisations who act as the gatekeepers to my provision of services, in order to fulfil their duty of care.

Communicating with others:

To fulfil my duty of care, I will provide copies of this information to prospective clients, clients and / or gatekeepers with the expectation that they:
